Open Government?

We should "require committee meetings to be open to the public."
I support requiring government committee meetings being open to the public.
I oppose requiring government committee meetings being open to the public.

In viewing the poll results, I notice that there are a few people who are opposed to requiring that government committee meetings be open to the public. I am just wondering, would any of these individuals care to offer their reasons for taking this position?

You'll have to trust me on this one, there are many reasons why it's important that public servants deserve and need to conduct our business behind closed doors. Afterall, the meetings are secret, the Supreme Court even upheld this.

Thanks for your concern, but butt out.

    Regards,

    Dick Cheney
